
The Lubavitcher Rebbe, Menachem Mendel Schneerson, took great interest in scientific research, particularly in the Holy Land. In 1988, Tovia Luskin sent him a detailed description of the Givot Olam project. After reviewing the information carefully, the Rebbe sent a response which said in part,
"I had pleasure in reading your discussion ...
... You will tell me good news ..."

In May 1990, Mr. Tovia Luskin visited the Lubavitcher Rebbe at his headquarters at 770 Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn, N.Y. and asked for a bracha (blessing) for the project. The Rebbe responded: "You have my blessing that you will have good news in the near future." |
